Classes in meditation for all levels
Meditation is the very heart of Buddhist practice because it improves the quality our mind.
By meditating regularly our mind becomes more peaceful, we feel more centered and experience more well-being.
We can all meditate on our own, but connecting with other practitioners and receiving instruction can be a boost for our own at-home practice.
Classes are currently being offered in Cambridge, Back Bay and Newton as well as in Portland, Maine. You can drop in or make a commitment to yourself and register for a series.
Our Saturday morning meditation workshops and weekend retreats are an ideal way to gain a deeper experience of meditation and inner peace. They examine a particular topic in greater depth than would be possible in a “drop-in” class.
Common topics include patience, concentration, loving kindness and wisdom.
These events are held in Cambridge and are open to everyone and are suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners. Everyone welcome!
In our modern busy lives it’s often difficult to find time and motivation to sustain our meditation practice and follow a spiritual path.
The Foundation Program class offers you an opportunity to go through a specific Dharma book in great detail, deepening your practical knowledge of the teachings.
This class takes places on Sundays from 3:30-5:30pm in Cambridge.
The Teacher Training Program involves more extensive study and retreat and offers the opportunity to train as a Kadampa Buddhist teacher.
Everyone is welcome to attend any of our “drop-in” classes offered each week in Cambridge, Back Bay and Newton. It‘s in these classes that Buddha’s methods for cultivating deep inner peace and happiness are explored and practiced.
