Heart Jewel
Fridays, 11am - 12pm
This practice is the very essence of Kadampa Buddhism. In the first part of the prayers we practice the Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkhapa, in which we purify negativity, accumulate merit, receive blessings, and cultivate compassion, wisdom, and spiritual strength. We then pause to enjoy silent meditation on the stages of the path, Lamrim, and engage in a brief meditation on Mahamudra. In the last part of the practice we make requests to the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden to overcome obstacles and create favorable conditions for spiritual practice.
These two practices are the very essence of the New Kadampa Tradition of Mahayana Buddhism. If we practice them regularly and sincerely, we will reap a rich harvest of pure Dharma realizations, and eventually come to experience the supreme joy of full enlightenment.
Enjoy the opportunity to gather together with Gen Khedrub and other practitioners for this free group puja.
