Awakening Your Wisdom: a silent retreat
This two-day, beginner-friendly guided retreat within the busy city will give us an opportunity to improve our ability to meditate and attain a more tranquil, still state. On a retreat we quiet external activities so we can tap into the power and love that resides within each and everyone of us. We will emphasize silence within this retreat to help aid our training in meditation and opposing distractions.
When we awaken our wisdom, it is said to be like waking up from a dream into our life. On this retreat we will quiet external activities so we can enhance our experience of wisdom that resides within each and everyone of us. We will emphasize silence within this retreat to help aid our training in meditation and opposing distractions.
Particularly, we will engage in meditations where we deepen the wisdom of the limitless, boundless nature of our mind and its connection with our reality. By understanding this connection, we will see how things do not exist separately from our mind and, therefore, by transforming our mind we can transform our life. This understanding how things are dependent on our mind allows us to live lightly, courageously, and peacefully within the world, and a retreat is a perfect way to gain this wisdom!
Resident Teacher Kadam Kyle will allow plenty of time to explore how to use these methods so each participant can go home feeling sure they can integrate these practices into their busy life. Two guided meditations per session, included.
