how to have difficult conversations with a peaceful mind
Mondays | November 4 – 25 | 6:30 – 7:45p
Cut through conflict with wisdom!
When faced with having to have difficult conversations we may try avoiding them, or we may repress our true feelings, or we may lash out in anger, or all of the above! Ultimately, none of these approaches will lead to happiness. Buddha emphasized the need for skillful and beneficial actions in all circumstances. He taught various types of enlightened actions that will empower us with the energy and skill we need to deal with conflict and confrontation. They will allow us to navigate even the most challenging situations calmly and wisely and allow us to speak with clarity and compassion.
The skills developed in this course are universally useful to all sorts of conflict, not just conversation, so we can apply them in varied and dynamic ways. They will allow us to still live our life, even with challenges, but be free of excessive mental discomfort and turmoil.
Buddhist teacher, Kadam Kyle Davis, will guide meditations and give a short talk on practical methods that are easy and clear to incorporate in our busy, daily lives. Suitable for all levels of experience. Everyone is welcome.
