What is the principal difference between a world-class athlete and the average person? It is their training and familiarity with their practice. The same is true for a meditator.
Embark on this multi-week journey of intentional meditation training where we gain the various tools and skills for a meditative life. There will be extensive advice given on how to develop a meditation practice, how to systematically train in overcoming distractions, and how to make beneficial life changes that are reasonable but helpful in making us more meditative. In addition, this marathon training will provide plenty of time to “trouble shoot” the different issues or areas of confusion that may arise in our meditation.
In keeping with the standards of the Boston Marathon, we will finish with a 26 session, week-long meditation retreat from April 13 - 19. There, we can put our wisdom and insights into practice and be a “winner”, no matter our level of experience or capacity.
