FOUNDER OF THE NKT-IKBU

Venerable Geshe-la is a truly international Teacher whose wish is to benefit everyone without exception. To this end, among his many extraordinary actions, Venerable Geshe-la has founded the three International Kadampa Festivals, National Festivals (like the US Festival) and regional Dharma Celebrations, which are organized every year and enjoyed by thousands of people from all over the world.

GENERAL SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR OF THE NKT-IKBU

Gen-la has been a disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for nearly 40 years and holds the lineages of his blessings in her heart.
She is an inspiring example of a modern Kadampa disciple who relies sincerely upon her Spiritual Guide in all her actions. Gen-la is greatly respected for the power and sincerity of her teachings and the warmth of her personality.

 

The Festival Teachers

BEING GUIDED BY SENIOR NKT-IKBU TEACHERS

The US Festival provides a special opportunity to receive teachings and guidance from senior Kadampa teachers. Gen-la Dekyong, the Festival's principal teacher, will grant the empowerment of Prajnaparamita and give teachings on emptiness. Gen Demo will give the Festival introduction, Gen Chokyi will guide the morning meditations and Kadam Morten will guide the concluding retreat.

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES

We are happy to announce that this year's US Festival will be both online & in-person. We have limited availability to enjoy the Festival experience at the US World Peace Temple in New York. Those who cannot attend in person can join into the Festival online with hundreds of others from around the United States. No matter how you join, the US Festival is a blessed and meaningful experience for all!
