Taking and Giving: Healing yourself and others – A Day Retreat in Brunswick, Maine – Saturday, April 22 from 10:30am to 3:30pm
Our mind is our greatest healer. Discover how to actualize your potential to overcome all mental pain, sorrow, loss, physical suffering, illness, and disease through one of the most renowned ancient meditations taught by Buddha, known as “taking and giving.”
During this day retreat Gen Khedrub will explain how to transform the simple act of breathing into a powerful healing practice that causes mental peace and happiness, improves concentration, enhances our love, compassion, and wisdom, and brings great meaning to our life.
Session times:
10:30-11:45am - Session 1
Lunch break - A light lunch will be provided
1:00-2:00pm - Session 2
2:30-3:30pm - Session 3

Gen Kelsang Khedrub is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston. He has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for almost 30 years. Gen Khedrub has served as a Resident Teacher in Chicago and in Seattle, and over the years he has taught special events and led meditation retreats around the country. His heartfelt teachings are presented with clarity and humor that make them accessible to everyone. Through his humility and deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings, Gen Khedrub provides an inspiring example of a contemporary Buddhist practitioner we can follow.
