Saturday morning meditation in Portland with Clare Morin 10-11:15am
On Saturday, October 9 Gen Khedrub will be teaching a special event in Portland! Details and registration here.
Transform Your Life: One Thought at a Time.
We need to find a middle way between the extremes of materialism and spirituality. For the most part, we try to improve our quality of life through external change. We have great expectations of a new job, a new place to live, or a new partner. And then we notice that the same old mental habits, perhaps anxiety, frustration, or fear of confrontation, return yet again.
Buddhist meditation techniques offer us the opportunity to understand and transform the thought patterns that determine the quality of our life. Through sincerely practicing these methods we can finally break the habits that are keeping us stuck and enjoy more freedom and control over our life.
September 18 - How to find inner calm
September 25 - Making friends with our mind

About the teacher: Clare Morin has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since the early 2000s, when she began to study meditation at the Kadampa Meditation Center Hong Kong. She found tremendous value in learning about meditation and using these practical teachings to solve the problems of daily life. Her studies on this path have continued in-depth, and when she moved to Maine in 2009 with her Mainer husband, she was lucky to be asked to start teaching a weekly branch class in Portland.
