How to Transform Your Mind – Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:30pm with Clare Morin

Our mind has limitless potential. But we can easily find ourself stuck in repetitive ways of thinking and behaving. Buddha taught many gentle methods to help us transform our mind and to break free from old habits. Buddha also taught ways to stabilize more realistic, constructive and positive views, intentions and actions. It all starts with understanding and transforming our own mind. And we can do it!

This Wednesday evening meditation class will take a practical look at Buddha’s teachings on the nature and function of our mind. Everyone is welcome. Each week will include:

  • guided breathing meditation
  • a short teaching on how to access more inner calm and kindness
  • a concluding contemplative time

April 5 - The inner compass of non-harmfulness

April 12 - Forgiving ourself and others

About the teacher:

Clare Morin has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since the early 2000s, when she  began to study meditation at the Kadampa Meditation Center Hong Kong. She found tremendous value in learning about meditation and using these practical teachings to solve the problems of daily life. Her studies on this path have continued in-depth, and when she moved to Maine in 2009 with her Mainer husband, she was lucky to be asked to start teaching a weekly branch class in Portland.
