Fundamentals of Meditation – Sundays at 11am with Gen Khedrub

Meditation is for everyone and anyone can do it right here, right now. But enjoying a five-minute meditation every now and then and committing to a daily practice to train our minds are two very different things. The latter requires a firm foundation and the development of wisdom that will give us what we need to sustain our practice over the long haul. Without this foundation it’s difficult to commit to sit every day, and eventually gain mastery of our minds.

If you want to strengthen your meditation foundation, join us on Sunday mornings where Gen Khedrub will share the views and methods we rely on to power our practice throughout our lives.

About the Teacher: Gen Kelsang Khedrub, a Western Buddhist monk, has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s guidance for many years. His heartfelt teachings are presented with clarity and humor that make them accessible to everyone. Through his kindness, humility and deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings, Gen Khedrub provides an inspiring example of a contemporary Buddhist practitioner we can follow.

Gen Khedrub joins us after 13 years as Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington in Seattle and an additional 10 years as Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Chicago.

"The Resident Teachers of our Dharma centers are always with you; they care for you and try to guide you to a meaningful life."

~ Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
