You are not your past – Saturday, March 27 with Tiphaine Perrier
Discover the wisdom that sets you free.
‘Resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.’ We may think ‘I’m not going to let them off the hook that easily!’ … but what if we were actually letting ourself off the hook, by letting go of the past?
This half-day retreat will present a profound method to address the problem of being stuck in the past with two stages: first using wisdom, cultivating insight into the nature of impermanence and change. Then, developing a strong determination, combining this insight practically into our daily activities, by deciding strongly to stop grasping at the past.
Session times:
10:00am – 11:15 am
11:45am – 1:00pm
Tiphaine Perrier, Buddhist Teacher at KMC Boston, has engaged in in-depth study at both the World Peace Temple in New York and on the Intensive Teacher Training Program at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre , as well as in in-depth retreats at the World Peace Temple in NY. She has guided meditations and taught at KMC NYC, KMC NY Temple and in Beacon, NY.
Notes:
In the first session of this events we will be using the Liberating Prayer. If you are not familiar with this, and would like to join in, you can find the text here.
