Dharma Kids Colab – Saturday, March 11 from 3:00 to 4:00pm

Calling all curious kids and conscientious parents! Are you interested in finding out more about meditation? Are you interested in keeping a happy mind no matter what happens to you each day? Do you wish the rest of your family could be able to do this too?

If so, the Dharma Kids Colab is the place for you! We will do a fun short lesson about how to meditate, a collaborative group activity, and a brief guided meditation. You will leave with some meditation tools and a take home craft to help you try it at home.

Recommended ages 6-12, but younger or older kids are welcome too! Parents may drop off their kids or hang out in the back with some opportunities for participation along the way.  Please bring open, inquisitive minds and super hero powers. Feel free to stick around after the event to visit over light snacks. One price per family (please email education@meditationinboston.org in advance if you have an excessive number of kids!)

$12 per family / free for members.

Scroll down to register in advance, or pay at the door.

Location: This event will be held at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston, located at 2298 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge, just a few blocks from the Davis Square T stop. There is free parking available, please email us at education@meditationinboston.org

About the teachers:

Susan Nelson enjoys finding ways to integrate Buddha’s teachings into her various roles as attorney, mother, partner, sister, teacher, daughter, and friend.  Susan started attending Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina in 2009, the same year she passed the Bar exam.  She has employed meditation techniques over the past dozen years to help de-stress and lighten the intensity of her legal career.  Susan now studies on the Foundation Program at Kadampa Meditation Boston, exuding supreme calm and clarity, and we are delighted to have her teaching this event.

Joe Kovaz also began studying and practicing Dharma at Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina in 2009. After several years of study and practice Joe began teaching meditation classes.  Joe especially cherishes the opportunity to teach meditation classes to beginners and seeks ways to make his classes very practical and meaningful for participants. Joe is a lively member of the Teacher Training Program at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston and brings great joy to his teachings.
