Awaken A Kind Heart: Saturdays from 10:00-11:15 a.m. in Portland with Clare Morin
Within each of us there is an extraordinary potential for inner peace, deep joy, lasting freedom and even enlightenment. This potential is grown and ripened by not only training our own mind, but from awakening a connection and kindness towards others. This series will look at Buddha’s famous teachings on equalizing and exchanging self with others. Through contemplating and meditating on these vital teachings you can find more peace within, and you can bring more peace into the world.

About the teacher: Clare Morin has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since the early 2000s, when she began to study meditation at the Kadampa Meditation Center Hong Kong. She found tremendous value in learning about meditation and using these practical teachings to solve the problems of daily life. Her studies on this path have continued in-depth, and when she moved to Maine in 2009 with her Mainer husband, she was lucky to be asked to start teaching a weekly branch class in Portland.
